This page explains what happens to your information when you use YT5s. In short: we use the link you paste only to make your file, and we do not keep it.
Who we are
YT5s is a free online tool for saving YouTube videos as MP4 or MP3 files. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean YT5s.
If you have a question about your privacy, write to us at contact@yt5s.shop.
The link you paste
When you paste a link and tap Start, the link is sent to our server and then to a processing partner. They use it only to find the video and prepare the file you ask for.
We do not store the links you paste or the files you download, and we do not keep a download history. You do not need an account, so we never ask for your name, email address or a password to use the downloader.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics, a service from Google, to count visits and see which pages are used. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (such as _ga), and Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
You can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's opt-out browser add-on. You do not need an account, and we do not keep the links you paste or the files you download. Some buttons also open a page from our advertising partners. Those pages are run by third parties, follow their own privacy policies and may use cookies.
Hosting and delivery data
Like every website, YT5s runs on hosting and delivery providers. To send pages to your browser and keep the service secure, they may process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and device type. This data is used only for delivery and security.
Thumbnails and files
Video thumbnails load directly from YouTube's image servers, so YouTube may receive the usual technical data from your browser when a thumbnail appears.
The MP4 or MP3 file is delivered straight to your device from our processing partner's servers. It does not pass through our own server.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we use your message and email address only to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not share your email with anyone.
Children
YT5s is a general tool and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or ask any question about this policy. Because we do not store links, files or accounts, the only data we might hold is an email you sent us.
Write to contact@yt5s.shop and we will reply as soon as we can.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated, so please check it from time to time.
