A simple, free way to keep YouTube videos and their sound on your own device.
What YT5s does
YT5s is a free website for saving YouTube videos. Paste a link and you can keep the video as an MP4 file, or just the sound as an MP3 file, right from your browser.
How it works
Saving a video takes three short steps:
- Copy the link of a YouTube video, Short or song.
- Paste it into the box on our homepage and choose MP4 or MP3.
- Tap a quality and the file downloads to your device in a few seconds.
Formats and limits
Videos are saved as MP4 in 144p, 240p, 360p, 480p, 720p or 1080p, depending on the original video. Audio is saved as MP3, with 320, 256 and 128 kbps to choose from.
Only public videos can be saved. Private, removed or blocked videos do not work.
Built for phones first
Most people save videos on their phone, so every part of YT5s is made for small screens: large buttons, short steps and clear messages. It works just as well on tablets and computers, in any modern browser.
You see the size of each video file before you save it, and your file is ready in a few seconds.
YT5s is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
